It has been a year or two since a rock show this great happened. It was given that the bands were amazing but the revelation was the crowd.
This gig has been an awakening not only to those new to the scene but to the ones who have been in all its different beginnings.
For decades, the musicians in the city have survived a lot. Venues closed down; some not allowing us to do a show again. Recording and rehearsal studios went bankrupt. And… the politics, that kills the one true reason why we’re all still doing this even if we’re not making any money, passion.
I sense everyone is tired of all things unnecessary. Everyone’s keeping it simple now: writing good songs and telling more friends about it.
